Carolina Handling has launched a podcast that goes beyond pallets and boxes to unpack the real decisions that shape resilient, high-performing operations. Handled It: The Supply Chain Podcast explores leadership, culture, data, automation, and operational strategy through conversations that are grounded in real experience. The first episode will be released on March 19.
Hosted by Carolina Handling's President & CEO, Brent Hillabrand, and Chief Operating Officer, Joe Perkins, the podcast explores the principles that help businesses adapt, grow, and ultimately say, “We handled it.” Associates from various departments at Carolina Handling are guests, and each episode is designed to deliver practical insights that listeners can apply immediately.
For years, Carolina Handling has proudly positioned itself as a thought leader within the material handling and intralogistics industry.
“Over the last few years, I have had this belief that our thought leadership extends beyond just our industry. We have an opportunity to share how we have handled a variety of topics with a broader audience,” Perkins said.
The goal of Handled It is not simply to talk about operations, but to unpack the critical decisions that allow leaders to confidently say they handled complex challenges well.
Handled It focuses on topics that are top of mind for today’s leaders, and Perkins said he hopes each episode leaves listeners with a new skill, conviction, or perspective that they can use or explore within their own organizations.
“Based on the diversity in our hosts and guests, I am excited about how Handled It will speak to almost anyone who is looking for answers in their business or wanting to learn more about leadership and the supply chain,” Perkins said.
Brent Hillabrand adds that the hosts approach each conversation with curiosity and genuineness, recognizing that leadership involves listening, learning, and growing.
“We are constantly evolving. We know we don’t know everything, but we are determined to be our best,” Hillabrand said.
The first episode of Handled It celebrates Carolina Handling's 60th anniversary and reflects on six decades of change in material handling and intralogistics.
“This first episode gives us a chance to look back on some trends that didn’t last, but also some of the timeless principles that still matter 60 years later,” Perkins said.
The hosts will draw from real experience and unpack how technology, safety, labor, and leadership decisions compound over time, and what modern operators must learn to stay resilient.
