Jumpstart your career with Raymond
Built on principles of innovation and continuous improvement, The Raymond Corporation offers cooperative (co-op) experiences with you in mind. Similar to all our associates, you will be welcomed into the culture, treated as a valuable member of the team, given “real” work assignments and have access to experienced colleagues to answer questions.
Your success is a key component of our success at Raymond, because we know if we want to last another 100 years, we need to invest in your future.
Veterans
Almost 13 percent of Carolina Handling associates served in the U.S. Armed Forces, with many of the skills learned in the military transferable to jobs in the material handling industry. Our comprehensive onboarding process, technical training and leadership development programs are designed to assist with a smooth military-to-civilian transition and a purpose-driven career.
Recognized as a veteran-friendly employer by the South Carolina Department of Veteran Affairs, Carolina Handling is a participant in Military Recruit and a U.S. Department of Defense Skill Bridge Authorized Organization.
Skill Bridge gives active-duty service members and select groups of the National Guard and Reserves within 180 days of their separation date the opportunity to gain civilian work experience through job training, apprenticeships and internships. The program allows service members to “test drive” civilian jobs and companies to access a highly trained and motivated workforce at no cost.
As part of its ongoing commitment to veteran-friendly employment, Carolina Handling is the title sponsor of the VET (Veteran Employment & Transition) Summit held annually in South Carolina.
Produced by The RECON Network, the free, one-day conference focuses on transition employment for service members, veterans and military spouses. The summit is designed to address challenges with military-to-civilian job transition and to bring together veterans and military spouses with hiring companies.

On Veterans Day 2022, Carolina Handling honored military veterans by creating the world’s largest pallet painting. Presented in partnership with pallet provider 48forty Solutions, The Patriotic Pallet Project featured 2,500 wooden pallets painted 16 different colors and placed in a grid-like pattern to reveal the iconic likeness of Lady Liberty.
During the assembly, five Carolina Handling associates, representing the five branches of the military in which they served, used Raymond forklifts to deliver and lay down the colorful pallets to form the awe-inspiring image.
