Established by the Marine Reserve in 1947, the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation provides new toys to children nationwide whose parents are unable to purchase Christmas gifts. In Oconee County, SC alone in 2020, 698 children were supported.

Each year, Carolina Handling holds a giving program during which associates donate toys or sign up for payroll deductions to fund the purchase of new toys for the Toys for Tots community action program.
